The idea for Perpetua came from watching a real practice lose patients to a problem that shouldn't exist: unanswered phone calls. Two receptionists — handling check-ins, insurance verification, scheduling changes, and a four-ring phone all at once. On the fourth ring, that patient didn't leave a voicemail. They called the next practice on Google.

The existing solutions were inadequate. Traditional answering services couldn't interface with EHR systems or verify insurance in real time. Generic AI tools lacked the HIPAA-compliant infrastructure and medical logic required for clinical environments.

So we built Perpetua from scratch — a multi-agent AI architecture purpose-built for medical practice operations.
